The Boxer Rebellion: official website; myspace; Following their 2 triumphant NYC debuts at Mercury Lounge earlier in the year, International Alternative-rock band The Boxer Rebellion are back for another roof-raising show. The four-piece - comprising Tennessee native Nathan Nicholson on vocals, Aussie guitarist Todd Howe and Brits Adam Harrison on bass and Piers Hewitt on drums - have become known for their epic, powerful, and energetic live performances. Earlier this year they made history by becoming the first unsigned band to enter the US Billboard 100 Albums Chart on a digital only release. UNION birthed a phenomenon when lead track, ‘Evacuate’ became the first iTunes Global Single of the Week, clocking up a staggering 560,000 downloads in 7 days. On fanbase alone, the album knocked My Morning Jacket off the iTunes US Alternative Charts top spot, while also becoming an iTunes Top 5 album on both sides of the Atlantic - all within 48 hours of release. They most recently hit headlines again when they announced a ground-breaking partnership with HMV in the UK.
